Oliver Potter
Manager at Major Money Matters. Bridging finance, complex buy-to-let structures, fast turnaround when the case has a deadline.
About Oliver
Oliver joined Major Money Matters in November 2022 and works on the firm's specialist finance cases. He handles bridging loans, complex buy-to-let structures, development exits, and residential cases that need faster underwriting or a lender outside the high street. When a case has a tight deadline or an unusual twist, it usually lands on Oliver's desk.
Oliver also manages the day-to-day running of Major Money Matters, which means he looks after the client experience as well as the casework. He is a second pair of eyes on harder cases the rest of the team is placing. If you have booked a consultation and something was not right, he wants to hear about it directly.
On the specialist side, Oliver works with bridging lenders, limited-company buy-to-let providers, HMO specialists, and development-exit lenders. These are cases where the lender pool is less familiar and takes real work to navigate. He spends a meaningful share of his week on the phone to underwriters at lenders outside the high street, which is what makes those cases land.
Outside the advice work, Oliver runs Nestr, the holding group above Major Money Matters, and is involved in the wider operations across the family's businesses. The intent is straightforward: keep the broker firm properly resourced and able to keep doing the casework Mark started in 2004 to the same standard for the next twenty years.
